Platform Engineer on WhiskeyMedia's first UGC (User Generated Content) driven property. Our small team migrated this popular comicbook enthuisast website from an aging PHP codebase to a shiny new Django powered platform.
This work (including the wiki and moderation system, the forums, the private messaging system and user quest system) served as the foundation on top of which our future sites would be constructed.
ComicVine continues to be the largest comicbook website on the internet with an incredibly dedicated and active community.
